ARTIST STATEMENT
My passion for photography was born while I was studying Political Science and working with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) doing social work with different communities in the city of Medellín, Colombia. Various groups converged in this organization, including artists and media creators, and it was thanks to them that I discovered photography.
As a political scientist, the limitations of language were evident to me. Theories and concepts fell short when it came to telling a story, describing reality, and even more so when it came to imagining changing it. With the advent of photography in my life, I acquired a superpower: the power to communicate, the power to change reality.
Since then, photography has become my way of relating to the world, and, to be honest, my way of escaping from it as well. It has opened the door for me to create new realities, fabricate aesthetics, and see and show the world in any color that I choose. For me, photography is my world.

BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in the city of Medellin, Colombia, she decided to study Political Science at a young age. At 17, she began working with an NGO in the city, which aimed to help the population displaced by the political conflict. It was there that she discovered her passion for photography, realizing the power of images in conveying emotions and messages more effectively than words. While working with the NGO, she also learned how to create territorial plans, conduct community workshops, and develop public awareness campaigns. Her first exhibition featured a series of portraits of homeless people from her city.
In 2021, she traveled to Spain to begin a Master's degree in Fashion and Advertising Photography. In 2022, she moved to Luxembourg where she worked as a Creative Photographer for a sustainable company for a year and a half.
Currently, she is dedicating herself to artistic creation and exploration, particularly in her ongoing project with her partner. Together, they are exploring the concept of love as a social construct and its possibilities in building an inclusive and responsible definition with each other.
